Anonymous asked: i'm practically the same size as you, but have very little confidence to wear the cute summer clothes i own. any tips on being confident in my size?
I have always been a bigger girl and I used to cry about it all the time. In school I always felt like I could never wear the things that were in style or anything because I felt everything looked bad on me. Add to that the fact that my sister and best friends are both model skinny and you get the picture. But somewhere along the way I realized that the clothes don’t make the person, the person makes the clothes. And if I dressed like I hated my body then my body would look like it should be hated. So instead of trying to wear the loosest darkest most slimming clothes I could find, I embraced the good aspects of myself. The aspects those skinny bitches will never have. The curves that outline my shape, the roundness of my hips and thighs, even the way my cheeks puff when I smile. Anything robust, soft, and womanly that people now a days fail to appreciate. Don’t be scared to wear skin tight fabrics. If you’re scared about the tummy rolls being put in view then wear a tighter tank top underneath. Your posture is very important too. If you’re slouched, you’ll look shy and bigger than you are. When you’re standing tall with your shoulders squared, the other great aspects of being curvy will stand out too. Don’t be ashamed of your breasts or your butt, flaunt them if you got them! And most importantly think of yourself as what you really are: a beautiful WOMAN. There’s nothing sexy about being a little girl. Remember, men like curves, only boys go after the bones.
